Inserting Paragraphs into Letter Templates

The Paragraph Library makes it easy to drag and drop standard or custom paragraphs into a letter template.

To insert a paragraph into a letter template, do the following:

  1. Select the tax year and return type from the available lists in the left pane of the Correspondence Manager window, and then click.
  2. If the library section is not expanded, click the Paragraph Library navigation bar in the left pane. Standard paragraphs display in black font, custom paragraphs created from standard paragraphs display in pink font, and user-defined custom paragraphs display in blue font.
  3. Expand a letter type and paragraph section.
  4. Select a paragraph in the Paragraph Library and drag it into the letter template in the Word pane. If the letter template is not a custom template, you must save the template as a custom letter template. See Adding Custom Paragraphs for more information.

    Note: You can also drag paragraph sections, but if there are multiple levels, you must expand each level and drag them one level at a time.
