Assigning Staff Teams

The teams page of the Staff Profile provides a means for you to indicate the teams where the staff should be assigned. You will have the ability to sort or filter the grids as needed.

There are two sections on this window:

  • Team assignment criteria grid. Displays your firm's teams and whether the selected staff is assigned to those teams. If specified criteria are used to define staff with inclusion in a team, and the staff meets that criteria, you will see a check in the Meets Attributes column.
  • Assigned teams grid. Displays the teams where this staff is included. The basis of assignment displays how the staff was assigned to the team, either by their staff attributes or by specific selection.
    • Staff attributes. If a staff has been assigned by attributes, then information from their staff profile matches the requirements of the team.
    • Specific selection. If you select to include or exclude the staff from the team on this window (or in the Team window), then the assignment is by specific selection. This means that the staff will always be included in the team.

Note: Changes to the staff profile Assignments > Teams window are also shown in the team profile on the Assigned Staff window.

To manage staff assignments to teams, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Staff Manager under Staff.
  2. Do one of the following to open the staff profile: 
  3. If you are creating a new staff, click Save to display the Assignments options on the navigation panel.
  4. Click Assignments > Teams on the navigation panel.
  5. Select the teams to which the staff should be assigned. All assigned teams display in the bottom grid. You can do the following.
    • Select to include staff access to or exclude staff access from individual teams.
    • Select the check boxes in the column headers to include staff access to or exclude staff access from all teams.
    • Note: If you select to include or exclude a team, click Refresh to update the Assigned teams grid.

  6. Select the staff's role on each team in the Role column on the team in the Assigned teams grid.
  7. Select from the additional window features. ClosedExplain the components of the window.
  8. Do one of the following to save your changes:

    Save Saves the changes and the window stays open for editing.
    Save & New

    Saves the changes and opens a new window to create a staff.

    Note: This option is not available if editing a staff.

    Save & Close Saves the changes and exits the window.
    Cancel Exits the window without saving your changes.
