Entering the Firm's Defaults

You can determine which client ID and sub-IDClosed A sub-ID may be included as a part of the client ID. If you have a large corporation as a client, each subsidiary could have a client sub-ID. If an entire family has the same client ID, each family member could have a sub-ID. areas display in a profile as well as what client ID information displays in those areas. Additional firm settings include the default format to use for phone numbers and phone number extensions as well as enabling the use of Sticky Notes.

To set up defaults for your firm, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Settings and defaults under Firm.
  2. Click Setup Defaults on the navigation panel.
  3. Select the defaults for the client ID. ClosedExplain the buttons and sections on the Setup Defaults tab.
  4. Click OK.
