Managing Client Bill Rates

You can set up the client to bill at a rate other than the default service code standard rate.

To set up client-specific bill rates, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Client Manager under Clients.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. Click Practice > Client Bill Rates on the navigation panel.
  4. Select one of the following to determine client specific rates:
    • No client specific rate. Bills the client with the standard rate. Skip to step 6 if you choose this option.
    • Client specific rate. Bills the client at a specific rate other than the standard or to apply a discount.
  5. Select the client bill rate type and enter the Closedrate options.
  6. Enter anticipated client realization percentage. Ideally, this should be 100%; however, if this client is expected to have write ups or downs, enter that adjusted expectation here.
  7. Enter the intracompany charge rate if the firm will calculate an intracompany charge when the office varies. This option is only available when the firm has more than one office defined.
  8. Click one of the ClosedSave buttons or cancel.

Notes:

  • If you selected to update all selected clients, you can click Reset to return to the previously selected bill rate options. Reset refreshes only the open profile window.
