Setting Up Time Capture for Practice

Practice allows you to manage your firm's time capture information, including general setup, transaction entries, notifications, error conditions, and custom fields.

  • Time Capture Options. Use the Time Capture window in User Options to set up the time entry screen layout, set timer preferences, choose your data entry method, and choose your rounding method and intervals.
  • Transaction Entry. Manage transaction entries for your firm, including rounding and miscellaneous options.
  • Notifications. Set up notifications to be sent to staff members for a variety of time entry conditions. They can be configured to your firm's communication preferences.
  • Error Conditions. Error conditions display when certain transaction errors occur. You can determine which conditions are treated as errors or if they will trigger a warning or be ignored.
  • Custom Fields. Manage your firm's time entry custom fields, including their security, types, and values.
