Viewing Staff Security Rights for an Organizational Unit

The Staff Profile window lists all of the organizational units of the firm. You can select an organizational unit in the list and review the rights of the staff in that organizational unit. Rights are cumulative from all security groups to which the staff is assigned. The Never allow selection in any security group overrides any granted permission for the same function.

To view security permissions for an organizational unit, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Staff Manager under Staff.
  2. Do one of the following to open the staff profile: 
  3. Select a staff in the Staff grid and click Open in the Edit group on the Home tab. See Editing Staff Profiles for more information.
  4. Click Security related to > Organizational units on the navigation panel.
  5. Select an organizational unit from either the Name or Type list, and then click View Rights. If you want to review the profile information for an organizational unit, select an office in the grid and click View Office Profile.
  6. Do the following to save your changes:

    Save Saves the changes and the window stays open for editing. An error message displays if you click this button before entering all required information.
    Save & New

    Saves the changes and opens a new window to create a new entry. An error message displays if you click this button before entering all required information.

    Note: This option is not available in edit mode.

    Save & Close Saves the changes and exits the window. An error message displays if you click this button before entering all required information.
    Cancel Exits the window without saving your changes.
