Reviewing the Batch Client Linking Diagnostics Report

The Batch Client Linking Diagnostics report is displayed from the Batch Client Linking Utility and allows you to validate client data before it is linked to a CCH Axcess client. For information about opening the Batch Client Linking Utility, see Batch Linking Clients.

Diagnostics are organized on the following three tabs:

  • Error. Lists source clients with missing client GUIDs, duplicate client GUIDs, and missing client IDs and all client name fields. A client name field can be entered in the source file NameLine1 column (name line 1 for a business client type or first name for an Individual client type), source file NameLine2 column (name line 2 for a business client type or last name for an Individual client type), or source file SortName column.
  • Warning. Lists source clients with invalid data in the FYE field. The FYE value must be in a date format with a valid month and day. Invalid FYE dates are interpreted by CCH Axcess as blank values.
  • Information. Lists source clients with valid data and source clients with pre-existing links to CCH Axcess clients.
  1. Review information in the report to validate your client data is complete and accurate.
  2. You can do any of the following:
    • Click Print on the button bar to send the grid information on all tabs to any printer installed on your machine.
    • Click Export on the button bar to save the grid information on all tabs to an external XLS or XML file.
    • Click Find on the button bar. Enter the complete criteria to search for a specific record or partial information to search for similar matches on the open page. Click Find Next to select the next instance of your criteria on the open page.
  3. Click Close.
