Reviewing the Batch Client Linking Report

The Batch Client Linking report is displayed from the Batch Client Linking Utility and allows you to review the status of linking client data from CCH ProSystem fx Tax, CCH ProSystem fx Engagement, or another external application to CCH Axcess clients. The report shows details about the link status of each source client.

  1. Review information on the Summary and Detail tabs to validate the following:
    • Summary. Shows the total number of clients from the source application, the number of clients that were linked, and the number of unlinked clients.
    • Detail. Shows the following information about linked and unlinked clients:
      • Clients Not Linked MessageClients Linked Message
      Link not selected. No CCH ProSystem fx client was selected for the source client.Previously linked. The clients were already linked.
      Selected link not available. The CCH Axcess client was already linked to a different source client.Successfully linked. The clients were linked from the current running of the utility.
      Duplicate "Client GUID". The source clients have a duplicate GUID. 
      Missing "Client GUID". The source client does not have a client GUID. 
      Missing Client ID and at least one client name field. The source file is missing a client ID and all client name values (NameLine1, NameLine2, or SortName). 
  2. You can do any of the following:
    • Click Print on the grid title bar to send the grid information on all tabs to any printer installed on your machine.
    • Click Export on the grid title bar to save the grid information on all tabs to an external XLS or XML file.
    • Click Find on the button bar. Enter the complete criteria to search for a specific record or partial information to search for similar matches on the open page. Click Find Next to select the next instance of your criteria on the open page.

  3. Click Close.

Note: The report is not retained after you close the Batch Client Linking Report window. Use Print or Export to save the report information in another format if you need to reference it in the future.
