Setting Custom Report Preferences

The Custom Report Preferences window contains options for customizing the visual output of custom reports including font, page orientation, paper size, and layout. Your selected options are applied to all printed custom reports. Custom preferences are not applied to standard reports in the Firm Library.

Note: You can click Reset Defaults at any time to restore all settings to the system defaults.

To set custom preferences for all printed reports, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Reports Manager under Reports.
  2. Click Custom Preferences in the Options group on the Home tab.
  3. Select the following paper preferences:
    • Orientation. Select the portrait or landscape page orientation. Portrait prints a document with the short edge of the paper at the top of the page. Landscape prints a document with the long edge of the paper at the top of the page. The system default page orientation is landscape for standard and custom reports. If you select the portrait page orientation, the setting is applied to standard and custom reports.

      Note: Portrait orientation does not automatically resize the column widths to fit the page. The total printable portrait width for a Letter size page is eight inches measured from the first column.

    • Paper size. Select your preferred paper size from the menu.
  4. Select the following font preferences:
    • Font name. Select your preferred font from the menu.
    • Font size. Select a font size from the menu.
  5. Select your layout unit preference from the menu.
  6. Click OK to save your changes.
