Authorizing Users to Select a Signer

Return configuration sets can specify the users who are authorized to print a signer's signature in tax returns.

To authorize users to select a signer's signature, do the following:

  1. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Configuration > Return configuration sets under Tax.
  2. Double-click a return configuration set on the navigation panel.
  3. Click Signature Block on the navigation panel.
  4. Configure settings for the signature block area of the return. See Configuring Return Configuration Set Signature Blocks for more information.
  5. Select Require authorization for signer signature.
  6. Click Authorize Users to display the Select Signer window. A list of signers configured in Staff display in the grid. The Users Authorized column displays Yes for signers with users authorized to print their signature.
  7. Select a signer in the grid and click Authorize Users. Users who have been previously authorized are selected in the Authorized column.
  8. Select one or more users who are authorized to print the signature for the selected signer.
  9. Click OK to return to the Tax Return Configuration window.
