About Project Templates

Project templates function as project blueprints. They help ensure that similar projects conform to the same rules and settings. A project created from a template inherits the defaults set in the template, which can streamline the process of creating projects.

Note: The options that are available in a project template are controlled by the project type the template is assigned to.

Workstream provides several default templates. Your firm can also create its own project templates. You can view a list of all the templates available in your firm by doing one of the following:

  • From Dashboard. Open Dashboard, click Application Links on the navigation panel, and then click Configuration > Project templates under Workstream.
  • In Workstream. Click Templates in the Manage group on the Manage ribbon.
