Managing Project Types
Project types are classifications that group similar projects together. Each firm defines the project types that are most appropriate for its purposes. For example, your firm might create project types for audits, tax returns, or monthly bookkeeping.
Most projects and templates of the same type share some common properties. You can specify those shared properties when you set up the project type. The properties you select for the type are inherited by the projects and templates of that type. Staff members will not have to set these properties manually in individual projects.
You can manage your project types in the Types list. The Types list displays a list of all of the existing types, along with options to manage the types.
Do one of the following to open the Types list:
- In Dashboard. Click Application Links, and then click Configuration > Project types under Workstream.
- In Workstream. On the Manage ribbon, click Types.
