When you select Yes to Track statutory due dates and to Use CCH forms to calculate statutory due dates on a project's General Information tab, you can use the Form Due Dates window to select the forms used for calculating statutory due dates in the project.
Select the form with the workstep you want to open.
Click Open Workstep in the button bar or right-click and select Open Workstep.
Make any needed edits, and then click OK.
Select a filing method. In the Filing Method column, select the method to be used for each form.
Extend or unextend a form. Right-click a form in the grid and select Extend or Unextend. Forms can be extended twice. See Extending or Unextending a Form for more information.
Clear an override. Form due dates that have been overridden display in a red font. Right-click a form in the grid and select Clear Override.
Complete or reopen a form. Right-click a form in the grid and select Mark as complete or Reopen Form.
Recalculate form due dates. Right-click the form in the grid and select Recalculate Form Due Dates.
Displays the ID of the forms you have selected. These forms can be from the CCH library, the accounting firm, and any forms your firm has created.
Name
Displays the form name.
Lock
Displays a lock icon if the field has been locked at the project template level. Otherwise, no lock displays.
Due Date
Displays the due date of the form. Form due dates that have been overridden display in a red font. If the form is extended once then the corresponding extension 1 due date displays. If the form is extended twice then the corresponding extension 2 due date displays.
Date Complete
Represents the date when the form was marked complete.
Extended
Displays the number of times the form has been extended. Forms can be extended twice.
Related Workstep
Select the workstep assigned to this form.
Filing Method
Select the filing method to use for this form.
Note: If you change the filing method, existing projects using the template are not updated with the new filing method.
Taxing Authority
Displays the taxing agency the form is for, such as the name of the state, or USA for federal forms.
