If your firm licenses Portal, you can publish files to client portals from within Document. Portals are a secure way to exchange documents and information with your clients. Files to be published must be checked in and cannot already be published to a portal.
Click a link below for instructions on publishing files to portal.
Use the navigation panel to locate the file by entity. Locate and select the entity the file belongs to on the navigation panel. Then, select the File List tab on Document Central to view all files for the entity. You can filter or sort the grid on this tab as needed to find a specific file.
Search for the file. Document offers both a quick search and an advanced search. You can use filters and wildcard characters to help you limit your search to relevant results.
Click Add Files on the Document Central button bar.
Select options in the Select entity and storage folder and the Set file properties sections as needed. These options allow you to add the file to Document. See Using the Add Files Window for more information about these sections.
Select the appropriate Portal options in the Options section.
These options are only available if a portal has been created for the client.
