Configuring Other Preferences (Server)

The Other Preferences window (server installation only) provides the following settings:

• Automatic Install and Update Manager launch at Windows log in
• Use login credentials with administrator access to install, repair, and uninstall products
• Change the installation URL, office name, and repository location

1. Click Preferences > Other on the navigation panel.
2. Set your preferences. Explain the options.

   Option	Description
   System tray icon	Launches Install and Update Manager and displays the product icon in your system tray when you log in to your computer.
   Save files to	Saves product downloads to the specified folder.
   Always ask me where to save files	Displays the Browse for Folder window each time you download products.
   Use default credentials	Administrator access is required to install, repair, and uninstall products. If the computer user name and password you entered to open Install and Update Manager do not have administrator access, you must use elevated credentials to perform these actions.
   Use administrator credentials	If the computer user name and password you entered to open Install and Update Manager have administrator access, these elevated credentials are entered and selected automatically. Accept the selected credentials, or click Change and do the following: Enter the domain name. Enter the Windows administrator user name. Enter the password for the Windows administrator user name. Click Apply.
   CCH Install and Update Manager installation URL	Displays the URL where Install and Update Manager is installed.
   Office name	Displays the office name.
   Repository configuration	Displays the existing firm repository location, where client and server media are stored. To change the location where client and server media are stored, click the browse button beside New firm repository location, and then select a folder with read and write permissions.

3. Click Close.
