Reviewing the Client Import Diagnostics Report

The Client Import Diagnostics report is displayed from the Client Import Utility and allows you to validate client data you have configured before it is imported to a CCH ProSystem fx client profile.

Information in the report shows details about the status of each configured and required CCH ProSystem fx client profile attribute. Diagnostics are organized in three expandable sections: Warning, Error, and Information.

  1. Review information in the report to validate your client data configuration is complete and accurate.
  2. You can do any of the following:

    Print Click Print on the button bar to send the grid information to any printer installed on your machine.
    Export Click Export on the button bar to save the grid information to an external XLS or XML file.
    Find Click Find on the button bar. Enter the complete criteria to search for a specific record or partial information to search for similar matches. Click Find Next to select the next instance of your criteria in the grid.
  4. Click Close to return to the Client Import data mapping grid.

Correcting Errors and Warnings

If the report listed errors or warnings, you should make the necessary adjustments to the Excel® file based on the diagnostics. Do the following:

  1. Close the Client Import Utility.
  2. Change the data in the Excel® file based on the diagnostics in the report.
  3. Re-import the client data.

Note: Information in the report is not retained after the Client Import Diagnostics Report window is closed. To reference the exception detail after you close the report, use Print or Export.
