Asset Number

Asset number is a MANDATORY entry for every asset in the return. "65534" is the largest number allowed. The asset number must be unique throughout the entire return, not just within the particular "Attachment Entity." Use the same number for each asset entered on the Depreciation and Amortization worksheet, General section as used on the Depreciation and Amortization worksheet.

Caution: The asset number must be unique within a return.

Assets are sorted numerically within each "Attachment Entity" and are printed on the federal depreciation detail and amortization report in this order.
