Enter the gross Alternative Minimum Tax depreciation when using the "Code to Force" option "2" or "3." Enter zero, if zero current AMT depreciation is desired. The amount entered is multiplied by the computed business percentage.
If a "Code to Force" entry is made for the asset and a current AMT depreciation amount is not entered, the computed amount carries to the AMT depreciation report and is also used to compute the MACRS AMT depreciation adjustment. A diagnostic message is issued indicating the computed amount was used.
