Moving Files

You can move files from one folder to another in the same storage area of a portal. You can move files individually or, if you are using a desktop computer, in batches of up to 100 files at a time. You cannot move multiple files at one time on a tablet or phone.

Notes: 

• Files must be checked in and unlocked before you can move them.
• Read-only files cannot be moved.
• If you need to move files from a My Files area to the Shared storage area, see Using the My Files Storage Area

To move files from one folder to another, do the following:

1. Locate the file on the Files page.
2.  Do one of the following, depending on the type of device you are using:
   • Desktop computer. Select the check boxes for the file to be moved. Then, click above the file list and select Move.
   •  Tablet or phone. Tap next to the file you want to move, and then select Move.
3. Select the folder where the files should be moved.
4. Click or tap Move.
