Selecting Clients to Migrate

This window is part of the Client section of data migration. This section will step you through the choices necessary to ensure your migration is as accurate as possible. It will ask you to make several decisions based on your current data. There are several options to make sure you get as much data migrated as possible.

Note: Some options may not be available to you based on whether you have previously migrated data or other options.

1. Select to migrate only active clients or both inactive and active clients. The Client ID and Client Name fields will be used to compare to identify duplicate clients.
2. Select the method to be used to store the client name in current database. Choose from the following options:
   • The last word is the last name. For example, Billy Bob Smith.
   • The first word is the last name. For example, Smith, Billy Bob.
   • The last word is the last name including honorifics. For example, Dr. Billy Bob Smith Jr.
   • The first word is the last name including honorifics. For example, Smith Jr., Dr. Billy Bob.
3. Select how exact matching clients are handled.
4. Select Continue to continue the migration, or Cancel to return to the beginning of the migration process. If you selected to continue, you will be prompted to select your sub-ID options.
