Accessing the Client Dashboard

The Client Dashboard displays a summary of client data in one convenient location. The Client Dashboard displays, phone, address, and email information for the client and the client's contacts. You must have the functional rights to view client phone and address profile data and the security access to the client. Client contacts for which you have rights and access to view display.

You can customize the Client Dashboard to display more detail about a client, depending on your assigned rights, your licensed and installed products, and the availability of content in CCH ProSystem fx applications.

Opening the Client Dashboard

Do one of the following to open Client Dashboard from Client Manager:

  • For a selected client
    1. Select one client in the Client Manager grid.
    2. Click Client Dashboard on the Home tab. The Client Dashboard opens.
  • Search for a client
    1. Click Client Dashboard on the Home tab with either no client or multiple clients selected in the grid.
    2. ClosedSelect a client.
      1. Click the right arrow on the Client Selection window to search by ID or name.
      2. Enter text in the box to display the top search results. As you type, the results update and the first matching item is highlighted.
      3. Do any of the following to select an item:
        • Press Enter to select the highlighted item in the grid.
        • Move from the text box to select the highlighted item in the grid. For example, press Tab, or select another field or button.
        • Click a record in the grid.
        • Select the grid, use the up or down arrow key to select an item, and press Enter.
    3. Click OK.

For more information about additional options to customize and work with panes and pages, search for clients, and open the client profile, click on the Client Dashboard.

Note: You can add the Client Dashboard command to your Quick Access Toolbar. In Client Manager, the command is selected from the Client Manager commands list. In other modules, such as Staff Manager, the command is selected from the Other module commands list. See Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar for more information.
