When file naming conventions are in place, files uploaded to Document are renamed using a formula set up by your firm. File naming conventions allow your firm to enforce consistent naming standards, which can make it easier for staff members to identify the files they need.
You can set up the following types of file naming conventions:
- General file naming conventions can be set up by entity type. They can be used for a variety of file types.
- Tax file naming conventions allow you to specify a format for tax returns sent from CCH® ProSystem fx® Tax.
