Setting Up Workstream Lists

The first step in managing your firm's projects is to define the lists that will be available for all projects. When developing these lists, use descriptive names that are applicable to a variety of projects.

Lists can be set up from Dashboard or in Workstream. The lists you can configure for Workstream are as follows:

  • Complexities. Complexities can describe a project's degree of difficulty, how many dependencies there are, or other characteristics that determine the level of skill needed to complete a project.
  • Delivery Methods. Delivery methods are the ways in which the final work product can be proviced to clients.
  • Form Due Dates. Your firm can create custom form due dates to supplement the form due dates provided by Wolters Kluwer. Custom form due dates can be based on date calculation rules. Workstream can automatically calculate form due dates for future project periods (such as annual, quarterly, or monthly periods); it can also calculate form due dates using rule-based calculations that you set up.
  • Milestone Dates. Milestone dates are significant events that occur in the course of a project. Milestone dates can be listed as stages (First Review, Final Review, etc.) or as specific dates.
  • Priorities. Priorities determine the level of importance or urgency of your firm's projects. A shared set of priority levels makes it possible for all staff to organize their work more effectively.
  • Statuses. Statuses describe how close projects are to completion. You can create custom statuses and specify the statuses that are available for each CCH Axcess product.
