Managing Productivity Goals

You can set productivity goals for staff in either amounts or hours. Both billable and non-billable goals can be established. Staff goals are created for your budget periods, so seasonal adjustments are easily handled. You can specify goals for realization percentage. Productivity goals are calculated based on the percentage of total hours (or amounts) that are billable hours (or amounts).

We recommend the following method to create productivity goals for your staff:

  1. Create productivity goals for a staff in any budget period. See Setting Up Productivity Goals for more information.
  2. Copy that staff's goals from any budget period to one or more budget periods to establish identical goals in those budget periods. See Copying Budgets to Periods for more information.
  3. Repeat the above steps until an entire year is finished for that staff.
  4. Copy that staff's goals to any number of other staff who share the same goals. See Copying Budgets to Employees for more information.
  5. Repeat all of the above steps until all staff have goals established for the year.
  6. At the end of the year, roll goals forward for all staff who have identical goals for the next year. See Rolling Goals To A New Year for more information.
